- Dave McGovern's World Class Racewalking: Dave is an outstanding American race walker and makes his living writing books, conducting clinics, and coaching. His knowledge of the world of race walking (including technique) is first rate, his collection of articles is outstanding, his calendar of events is comprehensive, and his Web site is well worth a visit.
- Racewalk.com: Jeff Salvage is a race walking coach in the Philadelphia PA area, and has created several race walking books and videos--some in collaboration with others. He is also an outstanding photographer. His Web site has extensive information on race walking; including technique, flexibility and technique drills, contacts, clubs, schools that support racewalking, an extensive list of links, race walking rules, a calendar of events, some race results, and race walking rankings and records. His "how to" and race results pages including many outstanding photos that he has taken.
- About.com: Walking: Wendy Bumgardner has a created a Web site that contains a wide spectrum of information and links about fitness walking, race walking, and ultra-distance walking. It also includes a list of clubs, a calendar, rankings, records, has word search capability. While I find it a bit hard to navigate (there is no comprehensive site map or index), browsing about her site is well worth your time.
- World Records (IAAF): International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) lists of records. At the bottom of the outdoor list of events, select either the 10,000 Metres, 20 Kilometres, or 50 Kilometres Race Walk for a list of records for the longer outdoor events, or switch to the indoor list for access to the shorter, indoor events.
- World and American Records (USATF): USA Track & Field lists of records. This site presents open, junior, and masters records (world and American) for road courses (longer events are measured in kilometers), and both indoor and outdoor tracks (shorter events are measured in meters).
- Ultrawalking Records: Ultrawalking.net list of records (in Spanish). This site shows the world records for men and women, for track (pista) and road (ruta) courses, for all standard distances and periods of duration.
For local events, you might also use the Web Links page to link to club Web sites in the local area, and view their calendar of events (or list of fixtures).
